Good value for price

I was in CH-Hotels Luka in late November 2025. According to me everything was perfect. May be I was just lucky but I've got everything like on the posters of this hotel. My room was nice, with charming white and green decor. There was a coffee machine and a cattle for tea and of course cups, etc. The bathroom was implacable. They changed towels daily, linen in ever 2 days and washed my used coffee cups. It was easy for me to get the keys from a small box outside and during the there always was somebody at the reception. They also gave me a late check-out.
The owners are lovely couple always ready to help. The location is perfect and I will definitely return to this hotel.

Dirty hangouts

Turned into a filthy place to stay in two years. Disgusting and the staff are accordingly. Too bad, but no one needs that anymore.

Its the worst hotel I have ever paid money for. I cannot imagine anyone staying there.

The room was smaller than a closet. Nothing like the pictures on your site. The room was so small you could not get to the other side of the bed without crawling over the other person. (Unacceptable!) Two people barely fit into this closet of a room. The bathroom had a loud macerator as apparently the plumbing was not up to standards. You could not walk in or out of the unit if you had luggage as the room was so narrow near the doorway. There were way to many doors, the place was like a maze to get to the rooms. On the way down to complain and get another room there one of the many doors was locked and needed a keycard to get to the lobby! (WTH?) And of course the lobby person was gone for the day. So we got our luggage and booked another hotel for the same amount as this dump and it was very nice. We took a cab there. I would never stay at this place. The Maze of doors and locked doors made me think you could Never get out if there was a Fire.

Very nice room, everything else to throw away

We chose this hotel because there was no other choice given the very short terms of our departure. The room itself was very nice, corner windows of a historic building just a stone's throw from the Freyung and Am Hof markets, views of a staircase leading to a beautiful church, in short. From this fantastic point of view. But the rest all to forget. Dust and dirt, the radiator in the bathroom was leaking enough to drain the boiler and for a day and a half we were without hot water. Staff rude, reception always deserted. Breakfast in the norm with few products and poor quality. Even the maze to get to the breakfast room: it felt like being in a dingy motel.

Not worth it — even for free

The worst part of my stay was coming back to my room one night and finding someone else already sleeping in my assigned bed. Apparently, another guest had been allowed to switch rooms — and was placed in mine — without anyone informing me. I was forced to move all my belongings in the middle of the night to another floor, another room, another bed. It was disorienting, extremely uncomfortable, and completely unacceptable. I reported this to the staff immediately and received no reply at all. Not an apology, not an explanation — just silence. They completely ghosted me.
The rooms are filthy and overcrowded. We're talking about 5 people crammed into a tiny space. There’s a desk, tiny lockers (many of which don’t even close properly), and shaky bunk beds that move every time someone turns over. The bathroom trash wasn't emptied for three whole days, and basic cleanliness is clearly not a priority for this place.
Communication with the hostel is a nightmare. There is never anyone at the reception. They say you can call or text on WhatsApp, but they never answer — not once in my entire stay, even when I had an urgent issue with my room. Their attitude is: “figure it out yourself.”
This hostel clearly survives only because of its location and cheap price. But don't let that fool you — it offers the bare minimum, and even that is often missing. The lack of service, the dirt, the chaos, and above all, the complete absence of responsibility from the staff make it one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed in.
No matter what you’re paying, trust me, it’s not worth it.
No matter how low your expectations are, trust me, even you will be disappointed.
Do yourself a favor, spend your money elsewhere.
