Family skiing stay.

We had a fantastic weeks stay at Hotel Interstar. All the staff in this family hotel are warm, friendly and welcoming.
All areas of the hotel are beautifully decorated. We stayed in room 303 which was perfect for a family of four with two separate bedrooms.
The breakfast buffet and evening meals were excellent. The service couldn’t have been better from all the staff.
The spa is very relaxing with several heat rooms and relaxation area with herbal teas and dried fruits on offer.
The ski hire shop and gondola is only a 5-10 minute walk away.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

4-star fraud

Very rude staff. Breakfast, lunch and dinner service was terrible and too expensive. Our suite was also disappointing. The hotel is too far from the lifts and commodities. Accommodation to avoid. It looks like a 4star on the outside, but it has the drunks and rude and incompetent staff of a crack house on the inside.
No doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Good but attention to detail required..

We booked a room here for last weekend through Booking.com as they offered a better rate than through the hotel direct. The room was fine but the safe was locked, there was no hairdryer and the knob behind the bathroom door was missing (room 201). We had asked for a quiet room - it was right by the lift but OK except for one night when a guest - obviously drunk - probably woke the world!! The bar and restaurant staff - simply delightful - nothing was too much trouble. The safe was fixed whilst we were out skiing, the hairdryer had not appeared and we had to ask twice before we finally got one.
You are allocated a table in the restaurant - we had one in the room at the back, which was great - nice and quiet. Again - attention to detail - our table was not always laid and the fireplace remained with ash in it from a previous fire the whole time we were there. Ok - it was not a big issue but it would have looked so much nicer had it been laid. The food was very good - we had a fish buffet one night and Italian the next - a super choice of food and also at breakfast. The wellness area was great.
In terms of location, it is a five minute walk to the nearest lift - although if you are really lazy you could take the car as the car park is free. In terms of ski in - it works if you are on the Schattberg Ost descent but only from there.
Overall, it was a good stay.

Good base for summer walking holiday

Hotel was very clean, staff polite. Very good choice and standard of food in restaurant, however, paid extra for full board option but was advised on arrival that the resport didn'thave a full board option, only BB & Evening Meal

Very nice hotel

So lovley stay at Interstar, fantastic food and staff. We walked too Saalbach center, no problems in the summer. The gym was fantastic. We really should like to come back, hopefully in the winter for skiing.
