The best place in Austria!

We had one of the best trip in Austria.
Mostlandhof is very quiet, with wonderful nature and very nice host.
Around you can visit Wachau, Oetscher, Lutz an der See or Mariazell.
We love this place and look forward to come back soon!

Good pub cuisine in a beautiful location

The location on a hill with a wide view of the countryside is worth highlighting. Spacious rooms inside and also outside, covered or sunny, with a variety of places to stay. And then of course you can go for a walk or watch the children slide down.
We were there again for a family reunion and, as always, were very satisfied with the selection, the speed and the quality of the food and drinks. Only the dessert disappointed me: while the crumb pudding tasted excellent, the Moor in a shirt was rock hard and could almost only be chopped up with diamond tools.

All perfect

Stayed here two times the past year. Very nice rooms, modern and clean with wooden touch. Excellent breakfast and good dinner in the inhouse Restaurant. Great value for the Euro there! Parking in front of the Hotel. Strong free wifi available.

Rooms and hotel are good, but service needs improvement

The hotel is situated in a nice location, although a bit rural. The view is very nice, although the rooms on one side face the parking lot. A room on the ground floor there, would mean the the car lights could shine into the room. The other side has a great view over the fields.
The rooms are clean an modern. Very comfortable beds! I even had a room with balcony. However, there is no door to the bathroom, but the toilet and shower are separated by a glass door. If you share a room with anyone who should not see you naked, this will bother you.
All and all, I would have given the hotel 4 points, as it is good. Only the breakfast is below average.
What made it a 3 star review, is the service. I booked 6 months before my stay, and called a few days before to request a quiet room. However, when I arrived, my reservation was not there. I ended up getting the "reserve" room. Not bad, as it was a double room, facing the quiet side, but disconcerting, as they lost my reservation! If someone had checked in before me, I would not have had a room! The receptionist took quite a while to check me in.
The next morning, I was waiting for a call, and the person calling could not get through, as they could not find me as a guest.
Finally, I decided to pay the night before check-out (2 nights), which was a good decision, as it took them 35 minutes to check me out. They asked for all my private information, as a table filled with drunk men stood next to me, making stupid comments about everything that was going wrong. A lot went wrong. The printer did not work. Again, they could not find my reservation, even after going to the back several times. In the end, the rate was different than my reservation (in my app).
I paid, and they said they would put the receipt under my door. Although I had to insist, as they actually wanted me to come back down to get it. In the envelope that i received was my reservation! And on it, it said that i needed to come back down to pay 3 Euros and 20 cents in taxes!
I went down, and tried to speak to the woman who wrote the note. She did not come, but the owner came by and was visibly annoyed with me. I explained what had happened, and that I thought it was trivial to insist on the 3 Euros, considering all the trouble I had. His response? "So? You got a room, didn't you?!" No sorry, no nothing. I paid, but it was a very unpleasant experience.
It is really too bad that this otherwise very nice hotel is so lacking in service skills.

Excellent kitchen and quarter

The hotel lies on a hill, was rebuilt in spring 2015, has excellent rooms (clean, good furniture, good beds), and the food is, well, I would call it a dream. Try as a drink "Most-Radler" (apple/pear-fermented juice, mixed with "Almdudler", a very tasty sort of limonade that you find only in Austria) and try also "Most Suppe", a soup made also from this fermented juice. But I garantie that everything else you try is hearty and delicious. Prices are decent (we paid € 61 for each one-bed-room including a good breakfast)! The region is ideal for walking and biking. You see a lot of "Vierkanthöfe", that are big old farmhouses built as a square with a court yard. I would not call the house romantic but I think it's ideal also for a stay let's say in November or so, because it's so well-build and rooms are very pleasant and homy in their own way.
