Simple, quiet, airy en-suite room

We arrived here early afternoon on a very hot day after a couple of busy days in Salzburg and the morning in and around Hallstatt. We were hot, sweaty and tired and this place was the perfect antedote. A large, clean, en-suite, cool room with a comfortable bed and a fabulous shower with good towels. A cold shower and a nap and we were restored. The table and chairs provided were perfect for diary notes, maps and route planning and a couple of glasses of wine using the glasses supplied in the bathroom.
A kettle ,mugs and coffee/tea were also great for a hot drink later on. Parking right outside the front door. Only downside would be the narrow staircase if you have mobility issues.
The hotel was easy to find and our room was quiet overnight. Recommended.

Great hospitality, 10 minutes from Hallstatt

Seeblick Krippenstein‬‬ is located less than 10 minutes' drive away from the center of Hallstatt. The room was very clean and tidy, with a great view out the window, and free parking outside. Anna is a great host – very nice and easy communication. We paid 100 Euros per night in July with breakfast included.

Cosy bed-and-breakfast

We found this place while looking for a decent accommodation near Hallstatt. It was nice and cosy, but our check-in experience was a little weird for us. We arrived around 11am. The lady host (for the life of me, I can't remember her name!) said that the check-in time was 3pm, so we just left our luggage there and drove to Hallstatt. We went back to check-in around 4-4:30pm in the afternoon, but found the place completely deserted. Front door was unlocked. We went inside calling out, no answer. Went upstairs, knocked and checked the room where the host lived in, noone there. We got so apprehensive that we were ready to grab our luggage and drove somewhere else, when the host suddenly appeared. Apparently she had been working behind the house.
Anyway, the room she put us in was huge and beautifully presented. Very clean too. The bathroom was outside though, which was a little unusual. The bathroom was big, clean, and nicely presented. The only downside was that there were no toiletries supplied, only towels. The view outside the bedroom window was breathtaking!
The breakfast was also good. Classic continental breakfast: selection of bread and pastries, cereal, fruit, cheese, hams, eggs (freshly cooked) - all prepared single-handedly by the host lady! Impressive!
All in all, it was a lovely stay for us, despite the slight hiccup in check-in.
