Still fantastic value and in a superb location...

We returned to the Pension Pleikner again this year. We absolutely love this place and it was good to go back. Brigitte and Norbert are the perfect hosts and are always very welcoming.
So what had changed since our last visit? Well, most of the rooms have been updated with new bathrooms and room furnishings. The breakfast area has also been modernised as well.
So why stay here and not somewhere else in Millstatt? Firstly, the location is impossible to beat. You are right in the centre of the town and next to the lake - the views from the breakfast terrace across the lake are simply amazing. All the rooms have a balcony, most of them are lake facing.
In terms of value, the rooms are great value and breakfast is included, as is free parking. Contact Norbert direct via email for the best rates. What is more, Brigitte and Norbert give you the Millstattersee Inclusive Card which grants you free access to the swimming areas, ferries etc and discounts at all sorts of local attractions.
Norbert takes great care of the gardens. His knowledge of exotic plants is really quite impressive. We will certainly return next year - a great choice for Milstattersee and the surrounding area.

A Pension as it should be...

If you're heading for Millstattersee this summer, seriously consider this lovely Pension in the centre of Millstatt. Brigitte and Norbert are a lovely Austrian couple - Brigitte speaks good English and looks after you superbly. Rooms are basic but clean with everything you need. Bathrooms are ensuite and most rooms have a balcony. The Pension has a small car park for four cars and spill over parking is available next door. You are very near the shores of Lake Millstatt here, and a 30 second walk from the ferry docking station, the indoor swimming pool and lake swimming area. Breakfast is included - continential style. The family also own the tremendous Pizzeria below the Pension - serving delicious Italian food at sensible prices.

Idealer Ort für ein paar Millstättersee-Tage

Ich bin wegen der guten Bewertung auf die Pension Pleikner aufmerksam geworden, da wir am Schluss unserer Kärnten-Ferien noch die Gegend der Nockberge erkunden wollten. Angefangen beim sehr freundlichen Empfang, der aufmerksamen Betreuung, der Sauberkeit der Zimmer bis zum prächtigen Seeblick vom Balkon stimmte in dieser Pension alles. Tolle und zentrale Lage, sehr gutes W-Lan, das reichhaltige Frühstück, die hohe Bewertung ist vollauf verdient. Dieses Haus ist für einen späteren Aufenthalt in dieser Gegend auf dem „Radar“.

Beste Lage

Nach einer Tour mit dem Motorrad durch die Alpen bin ich etwas später als gedacht angekommen, wurde jedoch herzlich begrüßt. Das Frühstück mit Seeblick konnte ich bei bestem Sonnenschein genießen. Auch für Wochenendaufenthalte am See bestens geeignet

Ein Platz zum Wohlfühlen

Wir haben insgesamt 8 Tage in der Pension verbracht und haben uns super wohl gefühlt.
Die Pension liegt zentral aber trotzdem ruhig mitten in Millstatt.
Frau Pleikner ist super nett, gibt gute Tipps. Das Frühstück ist lecker und unser Zimmer bot einen tollen Blick auf den See.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder bei Frau Pleikner buchen.
