Great place. Definitely worth a visit.

Great hotel. Very welcoming staff.
There was a problem with our booking which made us unable to get the room we had booked. But they made sure we got another one, and since it wasn’t exactly the same as what we had ordered, we got a little extra goods while we were there.
They really did everything for us to have a lovely stay, which we definitely had.
Can definitely be recommended.

MARIAZELL

GETTING OLD BUT A COMFORTABLE HOTEL, GREAT LOCATION ON THE MAIN SQUARE!
NICE STAFF, FOOD E.G. MENU VERY GOOD AND LOTS OF WIFI + FREE PARKING. ROOMS BRIGHT AND CLEAN, DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

Perfect hotel in the city center

The hotel is in the city center, you are next to the Basilica. You can reach almost everything by walk in the city. The room was clean, the bed is comfortable, we didn't hear any noise from outside. Almost the whole crew is hungarian. The breakfast is typicall austrian breakfast, so-so delicious.
A szállás központi helyen van, szinten minden elérhető sétával. A szobák tiszták, az ágy kényelmes, kintről hangok egyáltalán nem szűrődtek be. A személyzet magyar. A reggeli finom volt.
The bathroom is horrible small, for a bigger man could be problem to use it normally. The room is simply, despite clean and comfortable.
A fürdőszoba rettentő kicsi, egy termetesebb embernek már problémás lehet a szűk hely. A szoba egyszerű, ennek ellenére tiszta és kényelmes.

Low standard in nice location

Spent 4 nights in this hotel have to say, that unfortunately this place does not reach 3* level in Austria. As a family with 2 kids we have been accomodated in a very small room on 2nd floor. The room was truly small with almost no space for luggage and one old useless small closet, The bathroom space was approx. 1 m x 1,5 m. Furniture is surely more than 20 years old, bed very uncomfortable, the window almost popped out of the frame when opening. There is a slopy old wooden floor, you hear and physicaly feel each and every step from the corridor.
The restaurant is in better condition, unfortunately serving only breakfast and dinner, no lunch. The breakfast is quite OK, could be richer considering 3* (e.g. no sweet pastries, only scrambled eggs as a warm meal), Dinner is being served only as 1 meal with no option, quality of food is lower average and quite cheap.
There is practicaly no space or play-corner for children so at the end they keep running all around the hotel...
The only possitive is staff - mostly hungarian - kind and helpfull.
Overall OK for 1 night stay due to location but not for families...

Not good

We were there for two nights and I must say that I was disappointed. Money aside ( it was quite expensive) the rooms were pale and unfriendly. The bathroom was tiny, when you are a bit bigger you will have real problems. The firealarm went off in the night with no reason. The carpets are 70 s and smelly, the dowels were like old napkins, the mattresses were shabby. Anyway this place needs a serious upgrade and not to be squeezed out because it has a nice location.
