Excellent Hotel
This hotel was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The arrival at the end of a long, hot day’s walking was so welcoming and it only got better from there.
The staff were very professional and friendly, organising an evening meal for our party, getting drinks speedily and most especially checking us into our rooms quickly.
The hotel wellness suite was superb - there is a good selection of pools (indoors and outdoors) with sauna/hot room etc - which was wonderful as it allowed us to ease off tired legs . We did not part-take of the spa treatments, but the range on offer was good

Mixed feelings
I was not impressed that on my arrival my preferred and booked room was no longer available . As all my family was there too and had booked 4 double rooms overs a bit disappointed to say the least . The only room they had available was on the 5th floor in the attic , smallest single room with single bed I ever saw against an unfinished and roughly plastered wall that scratched my whole knee on the first night on trying to turn .
There was no lift to the 5 th floor only the 4th which wasn’t the biggest problem except that when I checked in I was told to take up all my luggage alone ad they have no porters orceven anyone who could help .
I accepted the room as I had no choice and the purpose of my stay was to be with my family who were already there as mentioned before and had booked 4 large rooms .
I tried a few times to ask staff for a reduction but even the manager who I eventually saw after a few days and promised me he would try as he had no authority by himself never came back to me . Neither to say he tried and failed nor any other communication was received .
Very disappointing to say the least !
When I checked out to pay I found no reduction no explanation and ni further mention of my predicament endured fir 5 days at a rate that should never have been applied to such a sub standard and in my view unfinished room , even staff mentioned these rooms were incomplete .
If it wasn’t for joining my children I would have never accepted this room .
It’s a shame they had so little desire to show me some gesture of goodwill to reduce the cost but only offered me a bottle of Prosecco !!
If a child or elderly person had hurt themselves on the wall it could bring serious problems for this hotel .
The swimming pool water was too cold and full of kids you could not swim .
And in the spa the sauna was useless as not hot only barely 50-60 degrees and most people didn’t use it .
There was only one small steam room which was hot but had no hosepipe to clean after nude bodies sat on it .
Talking about nude bodies , a young lady in my group was told she had to take her bikini off !! Unbelievable to force people to take off their clothes if they don’t want to . She was marched out of the spa and needless to say never returned . She was so embarrassed .
Food was mostly very good but too late in the evening with dinner starting at 7pm . I don’t normally eat later than maximum 5-6pm and our kids too had to wait so long .
Closing the spa at 7pm was another issue as it was the time when adults could enjoy without kids running and jumping all over the place .
It’s nice for kids but adults should get some consideration too I think .
The VAYA bus only returned late afternoon from the slopes and it’s a long 1 hour journey . Why not have a midday bus or more frequent schedule ?

da geht noch was
Alles eher cool und daher unpersönlich, die Mitarbeitenden sind grundsätzlich nett, aber jung und wirken nicht im besonderen Maße interessiert.
Unser Zimmer im 5. OG war eine Zumutung: eng, heiß und laut, weil ab 6.15 Uhr ein Ventilator mit Klappern begonnen hatte.

Edles Hotel mit Luft nach oben
Super: Wellness, Frühstücksbuffet, Zimmermöblierung.
Nicht so gut: Zimer klein, kaum Sitzgelegenheiten, im Bad keine Ablageflächen, keine Handtuchhalter, Haken.
Der Balkon eine Baustelle, am Boden nur lose Bretter, Verletzungsgefahr!
IT Prozesse verbesserungswürdig: entnervend komplizierter Online Check-in, Management des Frühstücksablauf per Papierliste (hat bei uns nicht funktioniert).
Man wirbt mit Restaurant, bietet aber nur HP
