Stylish snack

We were for first time and pleasantly surprised at the Oldtimer. Lower prices than in other motorway restaurants, friendly service and homely environment. Very good desserts.The large parking. I recommend.

Once and never again

Leaf bugs in the room, extremely thin walls, musty and just plain worn, old and ugly, the reception was closed in the evenings due to a lack of staff, you had to get the key from the petrol station, an odyssey until you found the room, only cash payments possible and the nearest ATM was miles away, I don't expect superior service at a rest stop but I don't expect anything like this either, that was one of my worst nights. When you're lying wide awake in bed, listening to the people in the next room doing bed sports and counting down the hours... Absolute disaster!

Breakfast not really great for that price, very unfriendly staff at breakfast and rooms dusty and not vacuumed.
You should shower in a bath with a shower head with a low shower wall
Furthermore, it is decorated in an old-fashioned way
Fine for 1 night but otherwise not recommended

don't visit the Restaurant late evening

the normally reliable quality in these chain was very poor in the evening when we tried to grab a bite .
the salad buffet was nearly empty and the famous goulash soup had an unappetising film on top of it

Nice restaurant with limited offering

Restaurant is on highway from Vienna towards Graz in parallel with Shell gas station. Parking is plenty. Gulash and beef soup are classical stuff, very tasty. Salad and fruit bar is separate offering with a broad selection, with several dressings. Desserts are classical Austrian strudel and several apple pastries and at least three types of cakes (eg chocolate, strawberry). Payment is very friendly, you get a card per table, waiter comes after you put all your food on table and just clicks into his terminal all dishes. You pay on way out based on card content. On way out you can buy plenty of chocolate varieties, Mozart balls etc. What is missing, is some more main dish, meat, potatoes oriented. Recommended highly.
