The room was very spacious and lovely, comfortable bed and enough light coming in. Comfortable sofa and chairs. Also a nice little treat in the form of 2 small kitkats and packet of chips. A friendly touch. Beautiful old world hotel but unfortunately the pool is not in action and the tennis court is dilapidated! We nevertheless had fun playing on it. Beautiful big sunny room for breakfast there. They have a library with games and some books and magazines for entertainment. There were only 2 stations however that the television would pick up ABC and SBS. So the antenna needs some work.

Timeless Elegance at Its Finest

Chateau Yering is, without question, one of the most extraordinary places we have ever had the pleasure of staying. Originally built in 1854, this magnificent estate is steeped in history, timeless elegance and old-world charm. From the moment we arrived, we felt as though we had stepped into another era. The beautiful music from yesteryear playing softly on our arrival created the perfect welcome and set the tone for what would become an unforgettable stay.
Our room was simply divine. Every detail reflected the grandeur of the mansion while providing every modern comfort. It was luxurious, peaceful and exquisitely appointed, making it difficult to leave.
The entire property is breathtaking. The architecture, beautifully maintained gardens and rich history are a testament to the care and dedication of its owners. Learning about Chateau Yering's place in the history of the Yarra Valley and its connection to so many of the surrounding wineries made our visit even more meaningful.
What truly elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional staff. Every member of the team was warm, welcoming, gracious and genuinely attentive. Their kindness and professionalism made us feel like treasured guests rather than visitors.
Chateau Yering offers so much more than luxury accommodation. It offers an experience filled with history, elegance and heartfelt hospitality. It is a destination to be savoured, and one we will remember for years to come. We cannot recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to our return.

Anniversary stay

Stayed at the Chateau for our 30th Wedding Anniversary, organised a suite and enjoyed a very relaxing stay looking over the Yarra Valley.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely room . Something a bit different to the normal room. Very welcoming.
