Cheap and cheerful. We didn't use the facilities apart from the room; the restaurants didn't appear open on our stay.
Good pub just up the road - book in advance if it's near the weekend, as it gets packed out. Also petrol station next door.
Note you are technically in NSW for this hotel. Still an easy 20 minute drive into Canberra town and suited our purposes for locations in the North of the city.

Basic and in need of some attention.

Spent a weekend in winter at the Ibis Styles Eaglehawk. It was basic in all respects. My room was very ‘minimalist’, basic and stuck in the 1980’s. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was working. The floor needed a good vacuum and shampoo and there was a damp sewerage smell that wafted from the bathroom.
I am glad I was travelling alone, as I would have been very embarrassed with the accomodation if I had company.

Avoid at all costs’

Do don’t bother staying At this hotel. Rooms are disgusting with mould covering bathroom ceiling’s calcified shower head, gaps underneath the door and next to the door letting in all the cold air, no PowerPoints to charge your phone’s? Grounds are covered in rubbish, including piled up next to the bins . The staff were unhelpful and in the end said whatever they needed to get people out of there! 0 stars!!! do not recommend. Do not stay there. It’s not worth the hassle

Cleaning was non-existent, standards, they don’t know what that means.

Looked ok at first, was hopeful, but entered my room and the floor had not been vacuumed. I requested every day of my 9 night stay for just a basic clean, vacuum, toilet clean. Returned from being out all day the room not being serviced. A notice card on the desk of the room gives the information that, if you require room service, a clean in other words, let them know at the front counter. Well, day after day, nothing, zilch, zero room attendance. I complained night and day but gave up as I realise that they were just not going to take my request for a room clean seriously. I liked the location and gardens but seriously disgusted by their lack of standard cleanliness. Who owns or manages this hotel resort, they need to realise that their customer is their business, I think they'll one day finally loose this business.
