Great place to put your feet up

This motel is great if you're staying in Mt Isa on business and need a place to sleep. Checking in was great and efficient and easy to find. The room was clean even though dated but I wasn't looking for 5 star and I wasn't disappointed at all with the cleanliness. My room had a TV, tea and coffee facilities as well as a microwave and fridge. The motel is quiet and though the rooms look as though you'd hear the neighbours, I didn't nor the pub next door.

Rodeo weekend

It was a great stay food was amazing room was clean and welcoming aircon was amazing locals are friendly very quite staff amazing would need a car as you are out of town go to the moondurra lake it’s beautiful and the outlook is amazing as well

Disgusting!

We stayed the night and picked here because of the undercover car park. This place ends there. The rooms are disgusting, filthy and dont appear to have had any maintenance in a very long time. Our bin was still full from previous guests, A/C bare works, used tissues were left in drawers no milk or spoons, toilet just swirls the water in circles instead of flushing. Will always remember our 1st time in Mount Isa because of the terrible accomodation

dreadful and too expensive

This place is possibly the worst I have stayed in. The rooms are basic and over priced at $250.00 per night.
The fridge does not cool anything let alone keep a cold beer cold. The aircon struggles to work at all and the staff on a whole are rude and very un-helpful.
Avoid like the plague.

The price of being in a mining town

When we arrived in mount Isa we were advised to go to the overland hotel to eat as you would get value for money.
We ordered steak and chips (2)at $8:95 and 2 koperberg ciders
The steak(rump steak) was as tough as old boots taken from an unhappy scrub bull.
The 2 ciders cost us $23:50 (500 ml each)which is an absolute rip off in my opinion
Advice is to avoid this place and mount Isa in general .
