Saturday Dinner for two

The best pub dinner since we left Victoria!
The Isa Hotel was recommended to us as the best value steak in town, and it didn’t disappoint.
As pub meals go, it was well presented, cooked appropriately, and well served. The venue was comfortable and relatively quiet for a Saturday night, much better than we’d expected.
We will be coming back.

Avoid.

Disgusting meal. Very small portions. Over priced. The buff is much better value! No wonder there was hardly anyone else there!

Not sure why many hotels these days are disconnecting or removing their fans from the bathrooms/toilets. It’s fine if one is travelling alone, but how to freshen the air in one of these claustrophobic and airless rooms without a fan is impossible. Breakfast was included to the value of $24.00 when I stayed the first time, as was a welcome drink. However the second visit a week later, no breakfast was included. However I could redeem a complimentary card for a coffee.

Very dated with worn out carpets etc, curtains didn’t reach the full window length so has to use pillows and blankets to have privacy and block light

Keep away

I’m working in Mount Isa for 4 years. I’ve had a few meals there. Wouldn’t recommend it. Overpriced for what you get. It’s a rip off. Buffs and irsh club, much better value. Excellent meals. Best to avoid the isa hotel.
