Perfect location and relaxing apartment

Perfect location, slept beautifully to the sounds of the ocean. Apartment has everything we needed for the week with a young family. Easy to walk up to purchase fresh seafood, walk to the point, playground, or cafes and restaurants all without getting in the car. Best part is being right on the waterfront - water views and direct access to the beach. King sized bed extremely comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Paradise lost.

If you don't mind constant hooning at night keeping you awake and council petrol leaf blowers/mower fumes drifting through you apartment during the day, all is well. The property also has upkeep with noisy and polluting mowing, blowing and whipper sniping to make things worse. It was a veritable cacophony for two days and we left the apartment to escape the two stroke cloud. No proper heating left occupants rugged up at night and not enough blankets. Doof doof in carpark on weekend was mitigated by crashing waves, what a pity the ocean was accompanied by the "look at me's".Very disappointing. PS don't park in public car park. Our vehicle was damaged, drivers door, in hit and run.

Unit 8 running with cockroaches

After 30 years of staying at Illawong we will never return.
We arrived at Unit 8 at 1pm on 1/11/23 and the floor was covered in dead cockroaches! The kitchen floor was sticky and the flat was dirty, with cockroach droppings on all the kitchenware in the cupboards. We spent the afternoon cleaning…then sprayed and put down cockroach baits in all cupboards. That night every cupboard we opened had large cockroaches running about. We killed dozens.

Outdated Depressing Unit

Unit 9 is very outdated with cockroach bait stations scattered everywhere. The location is great but would not stay there again. Letting agent wanted an extra $30 if we wanted to check in before 2pm. Won't deal with them again.

Very dated

The unit is in a great position but it is very dated. Had booked 2 adults 2 children. The two bunk beds were not made up. The Tv channels kept going out and there was only 2 small pieces of soap for four people.
