This is a charming, retro-inspired motel offering a nostalgia-fueled getaway, combining 1980s aesthetic charm with modern comforts. It has been designed by Studio Tate. It offers modern, cozy accommodation with 26 rooms featuring premium linens, kitchenettes, and locally sourced minibars, making it an ideal base for exploring nearby beaches, wineries, and golf courses.
The motel showcases a "retro-coastal" aesthetic with timber ceilings, mustard-yellow carpets, pine joinery, and exposed brickwork.
Rooms include smart TVs with streaming apps, modern bathrooms with walk-in showers, and private outdoor spaces.
Located right opposite the historic Flinders Hotel, you are just steps away from the village’s best cafes, dining, and art galleries. And the cafe right next to it is utterly amazing- The Georgie Bass. After a visit to that cafe months ago, it inspired me to return to stay at this motel.
I spent three nights here recently and explored the Mornington Peninsula using this as my base.

We were extremely disappointed with amenities available. NO microwave, NO toaster, NO bowls and spoons, NO toilet brush. Difficulty filling a kettle under the basin tap. Poor seating, Door was not draft proof. Why so many lights?

Motel was great and well maintained.
Could do with Foxtel though for the football
Also - when asking for a late check out we didnt get it which was a shame.
Other than that - excellent place and very central to the town.
