Lovely! 5 stars! Attentive staff and delicious food.

The waiters were extremely polite and attentive, clearing plates when finished and serving you more water when you ran out. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was quiet with light music in the background. They had a fancy elegant menu and a kids menu.

Incredible Melbourne central accommodation & value!!!

After so many wonderful stays here there is a reason I keep coming back to the Ibis Novotel Melbourne Central.
One of my favourite Accor hotels in Melbourne and especially as a loyalty member I get incredible value and service from the Stella team from Mr Carter, Neren and Philippo on valet through to the very efficient and welcoming team on reception including the incredible Mr Robbie, I’m a huge fan, and includes Jessie, Daniel and Gurdeep.
One of the biggest highlights apart from the clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms is the most devine culinary indulgence at the legendary in house pretty boy restaurant. Great optionality with daily specials, great pricing and a true love from the chefs using seasonal and the most freshest ingredients to create a spectacular feast, love it.
You must must must treat yourself you will not regret it. What an experience. We had the most freshest scallops and calamari, perfectly cooked and creative rib eye and the most decadent cheese and chocolate desserts.
Final shout out to chefs Vanessa, Anssa and Yui and fnb team Hass, Jeneet, Pang and Paula.
Breakfast as always delivers a great start to the new day after a quiet and restful sleep. Incredible location love this ibis/novotel!!
Made my stay indeed!!!

Memorable stay, hope to return very soon!

A great stay at Ibis Melbourne Central for 3 nights. The location is unbeatable, close to transport and a wide range of eateries. Staff were warm and welcoming, thanks Carter at Concierge.
The Queen room was compact yet cleverly designed with all facilities and thoughtful amenities that made it feel very comfortable. The Bed was exceptionally cosy, and bedside lighting was easy to access, enhancing overall convenience.
A wonderful place to stay and I look forward to my return.

Great Location and Price

First off you cannot beat the position, right in the heart of town, short walk to VIC Market, trams a stones throw away, shopping and restaurants/cafes on your doorstep.
I had a compact room, yes it is compact and I perfectly was aware when booking. It’s great for 1/2 people, afterall it’s Melbourne, so much to do you’re hardly in your room and this was a 1 night stay.
Next week I have 3 nights and I’ve booked the bigger room.
The hotel is very clean as I find with the Ibis brand and super cheap, the bed was very comfy. I was on the 16th floor, no issues with long waits for an elevator.
Check in and out was incredibly fast! No paperwork to fill out, all online, well done.
I recommend this hotel, but if you want space pay the little bit extra for the superior room, you can’t book compact and then expect it to be huge and complain.
I didn’t try the bar and restaurant but will on my stay next week.

Bad

I will start with the positives, location is great and the condition of the rooms is really good. My issue lies with the staff, the staff here are the WORST I have ever experienced at any Accor hotel. I am convinced they purposely go out of their way to make your stay as horrible as possible, my last stay I had here I was greeted by some concierge man yelling at me, when I was not even asking for help or even looking at him, which I was not happy with, then I go to the reception where I was met by Athena, who as you can imagine, was also yelling at me from across the room. I am sorry but I do not appreciate being yelled at, it's normal to start speaking to someone when they are close to you. Checking in with Athena was awful, she was rude and spoke like a robot and did not look up from her computer during the check in process. I received an email from the property stating that a welcome amenity would be in the room.. amazing! However, there was not one, I went down to reception to ask about it and the receptionist told me what I should have received then smiled at me..? So I asked if I can have one and he said no worries, I will send it up to the room ASAP... Nothing ever arrived. There have been numerous issues with stays I have had, the one before this the receptionist just assumed I had no status with Accor due to the fact of my age and told me that no room was available, when he looked on his computer and discovered that I did have a status with Accor, a room actually was available and he lied the first time, without even confirming his information, I don't appreciate this, because people are young doesn't mean they deserve to be treated differently, and if this was a one off issue sure, but it's not. The first time I stayed here the receptionist took my ID and had to contact a manager as she believed I was underage to stay at the hotel, when in fact I was not. I have given this property 4 tries, and I am absolutely fed up. I have stayed at almost every ibis property in Melbourne, and every single one greets you with kindness and a smile. Not this one, being kind costs nothing.
