Great Location, Accommodation Average
The Villa:
The villas are a very good size, plenty of room to move around. Upon entering, you enter into the kitchen which is large and very empty. There are a European laundry, a fridge & freezer with no handles to open the doors, 2 burner hotplate, new kettle and toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher and microwave. You step down 2 steps to the dining area, a table for 4. A sliding door out to the deck which overlooks a park. There is a table and 4 chairs and 2 sun lounges that have seen better days. They are stained and do not look good. There a 2 nice big pots, one with a plant and the other is cracked with no plant. Back inside, a large living area, coffee table, large couch, tv sitting on a cabinet, not overly huge, but it did have Swift streaming service. Take 2 steps up into the bedroom, which is carpeted. It has a desk, a very good wardrobe with plenty of hangers, many drawers for your clothes and a safe. A king size bed and fan over head. The pillows were just ok and the bed dipped to the outside which you made you roll to outside of it. The bathroom is not separated from the bedroom so you look onto a large spa bath that we did not use. A separate toilet with door that did have an occasional smell to it and a small shower that was dark inside. It felt like a cave. The water temperature was not consistent, but was not too bad. Water pressure was good. A single vanity with 2 large drawers. They were not easy to open, kept getting stuck a bit. Hairdryer was supplied, but after using it, it became scorching hot, could not wrap the cord around the handle. The towels were large bath sheets and thin. Hand towels and face clothes were also thin, they need to be replaced.
An air conditioner in the dining area does not provide cool air into the bedroom, hence the fan. This villa needs a good clean. The floor, some type of tile/stone needs a scrub, the walls need painting, furniture needs replacing, new lighting, it needs to be bought up to the 20th century. Whoever owns this unit, I hope you read this review and do something to improve this unit.
Villa 5.1 is on the ground level, there is another villa that is upstairs, 5.2. Noise carries and acoustics is terrible. Nothing can be done about this, but keep it in mind when you are making a booking in future.
As much as I found Mandurah relaxing, I would not go back and definitely would not stay at Seashells.
