Long line to check in. Would recommend not checking in right on 2pm wait a little for shorter lines. Our room didn’t come with a dedicated parking spot so we had to park further away and walk which wasn’t too bad thankfully it wasn’t raining. Room was clean

Unkept dowdy hotel

This place is an absolute dump. Musty smells, unkept premises, chipped walls and furniture, light bulbs hanging out of incorrect fixtures, bed nearly near the floor, broken curtain and some sort of 1990’s vibe to overall place. The bath/shower situation was a joke, I’d hate to see someone elderly get into that, so dangerous. Furthermore bodily hairs left on floor of bathroom when we arrived, disgusting, your cleaners need to spend more time cleaning correctly. Staff member on check in unpleasant and rude. We were only here overnight on trip back from 12 Apostles - been staying in Melbourne Westin Hotel (complete difference). This lady on front desk spoke to us like rubbish and accused us not paying when we had in a revolting manner. The locals use the hotel pool for their swimming lessons (unprofessional) and there are bits and bobs of old furniture and junk laying around the property. It reminds me of some filthy looking backpackers lodge. The hotels restaurant is extremely questionable, trying to flog it of as a fine dining experience, it looks like some sort of junked up salvo store with all the tacky knick knacks and dusty areas, trying to sell high end items like beef checks or “roo tail” for some crazy prices - food cheaper at Melbourne Westin. Maybe stick to usual hotel food like low end hotels do, burgers etc. The attempt to try and make this low quality place seem fancy is only making it look worse… over all would not recommend.

We loved our stay at Mantra Lorne, the location was fabulous and the apartment style room was great when travelling with a baby. The room however was a little tired, and had mould. The pool area was also dirty and disappointingly the steam room facilities were out of order.

Apartment was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Entrance area to apartments could have been a bit cleaner and it was quite dark walking the path to and from restaurant at night.
