Great spot to stop

We stayed here overnight in our Motorhome. The caravan park was brand new with large drive through sites with artificial and real grassed areas. The amenities block was excellent with ducted heating, a bonus on a chilly morning. The hot water was slow to come through.
We enjoyed a complimentary drink on arrival and stayed on for a good value happy hour in the bar adjacent to a huge restaurant/function area.
We did not eat in the restaurant so cannot comment. The lakeside villas looked lovely and the landscaping was well done.
We toured the cotton gin next door. The noise from the gin may bother some but we did not find it a problem.

Our cabin was very cute but this really is an out of the way location, shops are a 30 minute drive, so I suggest you stock up if you’re planning on eating in.
We went to the restaurant as they were have an Italian special week, nice enough and the service was great.
Unfortunately there’s mould in the bathroom which was a bit concerning. Not sure if they need to actually replace the entire wall or get in an expert….but it’s very obvious.
Note; you’re in the middle of nature so don’t leave food out or you’ll be invaded by ants.
Overall it’s a good experience if you want out of the way location… but it’s a little boring. No pool…no play area for kids…

Whitton Malt House Magic

Great weekend away at the Whitton Malt House! Worth the drive. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Cabins comfortable and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Great place to visit.

Be warned

On arrival, a laminated card inside the cabin warned the adjacent factory operates between May and September. Many guests "enjoy the noise”, it explained.
In truth, it is a relentless, cycling, low-frequency industrial hum that, for me, made sleep impossible. Earplugs had no effect.
I slept on the lounge room couch (slightly less noisy) and considered sleeping in the car or driving half an hour through darkness to a hotel in town.

Yet Another Wonderful Stay at Whitton Malt House

Another fantastic stay at the Whitton Malt House. The service was exceptional as always, and a special shoutout to Sarah, who was friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
The grounds and caravan sites are immaculate and beautifully maintained, making it a pleasure to stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant, with excellent dinner, drinks, and breakfast service throughout our visit.
We genuinely can’t fault our experience and look forward to returning again in the future. Thank you to the entire team for consistently delivering such a high standard of hospitality.
