Good Vibes at Gladstone Backpackers

I was here for almost a week and everyone was very friendly and welcoming! So chill during the days and they planned fun events at night (plus some yummy dinners in the evenings as well). I came as a solo traveler and left with a bunch of new friends. Really great atmosphere. I am already missing all their animals too. Hoping to come back again!!

Lovely!

The entire team really made the place feel so welcoming and homely, and I’m especially thankful for Gabby’s help. She went out of her way to drive me to Bunnings to grab some tubs for my trip to Heron Island, which was incredibly kind of her. Truly such beautiful people here. So grateful to have met them.

Laidback and friendly

Enjoyed my short stay. Friendly and relaxed staff, joined in on the fun and thanks to Darren I got to hike mount Larcum! Awesome hike and thanks for the guided tour. I will definetly recommend this hostel

Poor

They charged me twice, first for booking and then in person, to get my money back I had to talk to the bank, after that they never returned the deposit of 50 dollars for the room, I also tried several times to contact them with no response. They keep my money and make me pay an unagreed value

Beds are small and crammed with big dogs freely walking throughout all the rooms, no space in the shower so everything gets wet. Other guests screaming in the rooms until 4am.
Zero help from staff after I was double charged, I have contacted them multiple times and they still won’t give me my money back.
Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at.
