Clean, needs good walking shoes

Small room but exceptionally clean. I did have a window overlooking the car park but wasn’t bothered by any noise, however a motion sensor light did turn on at times. I did notice the upstairs is fully carpeted which also helped in noise reduction. There is no lift, however on another review staff responded that with prior knowledge they can accommodate you in rooms on the main floor. I did find it a bit far, 10 minute walk to the closest coffee and cutting through the park with a suitcase could be a bit of a work out but having the train so close was very convenient. Overall I did find it on the pricier side for a (very) small private room in a hostel but there was a city event happening during my stay which I think was reflected in the cost. Overall I was happy with my stay :)

Wow what a place!
Wish it was possible to give 6/5 stars. We honestly loved staying here and were sad to leave. Everyone on staff was so friendly, and Daniel, the manager, really made us feel welcome from the start. He was always happy to help and quick with a joke. The other guests were lovely too, which made the place feel especially warm and welcoming.
We stayed for two weeks, spending one week in a more affordable room and one in a more expensive room. Both were great, and we feel really lucky to have found K2.
We would absolutely stay again. 🙌

I was surprised to have to pay an extra $35 per night for parking , everything was great except only 1 glass and no tea towel, nice and clean , nearly everything we needed.

There were fruit flies in the room from the moment I checked in. I reported it to the staff straight away, but nothing was done about it. I was extremely busy and didn’t want to waste my time chasing the issue, so I ended up putting up with the fruit flies and the constant noise coming from the fridge.
When I was about to check out, I raised the issue again with reception, but it was pointless. The manager kept insisting that the fruit flies were caused by food being kept in the room, which was completely untrue as I never brought any food into the room.
On top of that, the place felt very sketchy, with a lot of homeless people around the area. The staff were also extremely rude and unhelpful throughout my stay. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I would not stay there again.
