Yes, the place is old and ugly. But it's also cheap and in the centre of town.

Old but comfortable!

The cottages are old but comfortable & well appointed, great view over the Ovens river from the back yard. Right in the CBD yet still quiet, driveway is narrow & hard to find but once you are set up you can walk everywhere. WiFi is ordinary but that's right across the Bright area.

Disappointing

Ovens View was very disappointing place to stay. It was old, rundown and very untidy and unkept. We had no hot water the first night till we found it had been turned off. The drain in the bathroom sink was blocked.
The only plus for Ovens View was its closeness to shops and the beautiful walks along the river .

Accommodation was spacious, clean and had everything I needed. Easy to access and outdoor seating areas. Bed was very comfortable and shower was fabulous. Loved that there was a fridge with good sized freezer thankyou
