Cathedral Motor Inn, Bendigo

We had a very pleasant stay at Cathedral Motor Inn during our time in Bendigo. It is roughly 10-min walk to the city proper. The reception staff (Jack) were friendly, helpful, and guided us smoothly through the check-in process. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I have sensitive skin and often experience itchiness with hotel bedding and pillows, but that wasn’t the case here at all. My husband and I both slept very well throughout our stay, which says a lot about the comfort and cleanliness of the room.
The entire complex was quiet and peaceful, and we were fortunate to be given a room with a lovely view of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, which made our stay even more special.
Overall, it was a comfortable and restful stay, and we would happily recommend this place to anyone visiting Bendigo. Truly this place is "a home away from home"

Great Bendigo stay

Great location. Very welcoming hostess and staff. Beds very comfortable. Rooms and bathroom very clean. Walk in shower in a modern bathroom. Free parking right near room. Lovely sitting area in garden setting near the room also. No noise disturbance at all.

Lovely stay

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cathedral. We were in town for an inline hockey tournament and it was only a 7min drive to the rink. The rooms were absolutely lovely — beautifully presented and so comfortable. The gorgeous windows let in plenty of fresh air, which made the space feel light and inviting. Such a charming and relaxing place to stay in Bendigo. We’ll definitely be back!

Good value and a great location

"Clean, comfortable and well equipped" as the website states, is an under statement.
I had made a booking on the Cathedral Motor Inn website 5 weeks in advance, for a deluxe queen room for 3 nights, intending to see the sights of Bendigo and surrounds whilst on a road trip through the Riverina region.
On arrival, we were welcomed by Jack at reception and given the key to room 8 on the ground floor. He was very interested in what we had planned and suggested a few other places that may be of interest. One was The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, which we had no knowledge of but was worth the approximate 20-30 minute drive out of town.
Our room was lovely. It was spotless with nice decor and the windows overlooked the leafy park next door. There was plenty of room to move around, a dining setting for 2 and a sofa to relax on after a day's sightseeing. There was a cupboard, a place to put a suitcase and everything needed in the kitchenette for our self catering holiday. The bathroom was very clean, roomy with modern tiling. The quite location and the comfortable bed allowed us a good night's sleep.
This accommodation is within easy walking distance of the Visitor Information Centre, restaurants, shops and the heritage buildings a few streets behind the Main Street.
Bonuses were the "Book now pay on arrival with free cancellation at least 24 hours prior" and also the free "guests laundry" which we made use of.
We enjoyed our time in Bendigo and cannot fault our accommodation.
Definitely recommend.

Our go to place to stay in Bendigo

Conviently located (walk to town) & a very comfortable place to stay - have stayed here multiple times & never been disappointed.
Staff are always friendly & accommodating.
A microwave is a great bonus!
