Interesting stay

Had a 2 nights stay for work. Was given a connecting room at the 18th floor with an amazing view of Adelaide. Hotel was a classic. The atmosphere had me traveled back in the early 2000 and late 90’s. Not much of noise issue of trams. As i was at the upper level. Was lucky that my room was big. Huge tv, coffee machine, branded amenities byredo. Location is in the city itself next to the train station. Walking distance to shopping area. Adelaide plaza arcade. Cleanliness was good. Despite maintains the old design of the bathroom but the downsize was my shower was running slow.

Very nice hotel in an excellent location. Great staff and service. The only thing I didn’t like was the evening cafe/restaurant on the lobby level…strive could have been better. Breakfast was great. My only complaint is, and I haven’t contacted management about this yet, that a friend dropped off a sealed package for me at the concierge it was placed in my room and when I returned the package had been opened (though nothing was missing)…

An unexpected visit became a lovely afternoon

My friend and i had planned to go elsewhere but inclement weather and wheelchair access limited our choice.
The Intercontinental has excellent access, we had a lovely lunch, staff were helpful

Intercontinental excellence

Great service and facilities. Overnight stay had everything we needed. Room service dining was efficient and delicious. Extras in room appreciated. Highly recommended.

We stayed the night we got married and was so surprised that when we got back to our room there was a bottle of sparkling wine left chilled on ice from the hotel. The room although dated was large, clean and had great views of the Torrens River. Its in the heart of the city, so close to everything. The breakfast was sufficient but the table wasn't cleared of dirty dishes and the staff didn't come around to see if we wanted further cups of coffee/tea. That was our only complaint. All in all a lovely stay.
